In March 2025, the portal through which the posting of workers to Switzerland shall be notified was changed. The declaration of posting can no longer be made via the portal https://meweb.admin.ch/meldeverfahren/. The posting of employees shall be notified using the EasyGov platform which also allows to deal with other administrative matters in Switzerland.

1. New portal

Until now, the declaration of the posting of workers to Switzerland could be made via the website: https://meweb.admin.ch/meldeverfahren/. Currently, after entering the indicated site, a message is displayed that is no longer possible to submit the notification of posting by means of this website and, from 17 March 2025, declarations should be done through the following site: www.easygov.swiss/

The message is displayed in several language versions: German, French, Italian and English.

2. EasyGov

EasyGov is an online platform allowing to perform various types of administrative duties in Switzerland. Through it, it’s not only possible to declare the posting of workers to Switzerland, but also, for example, to set up a company or register for social security.

The platform is available in German, French, Italian and English.

As a rule, using the EasyGov platform is free of charge. Possible fees may arise in connection with the fulfillment of specific administrative obligations, for example: fee for entry in the commercial register.

3. Migration of data

Although the platform https://meweb.admin.ch/meldeverfahren/ is no longer available, the user accounts created there and the data stored on them haven’t disappeared. An automatic migration of data to the new platform has taken place. When using the new platform for the first time, you can import your profile yourself. For this purpose, it’s necessary to have the user name and e-mail address that were provided in the user profile on the old portal. Importing the profile will allow to access archived posting notifications and previously entered data of workers.

It should be emphasised that only one import of data per profile is possible.

4. UID

Entrepreneurs from the territory of EU Member States, EFTA Member States or the United Kingdom who want to declare the posting of employees to Switzerland can immediately apply for a UID, i.e. a company identification number, by creating an account on EasyGov. Employers notifying the departure of workers to Switzerland are obliged to have the number in question. The UID is used in communication between entrepreneurs and public authorities. It is unique and unchangeable.
